What range do RC helicopters have? How far away can I fly it? As it’s important to have clear sight of your model when flying, you will find you are always well within the range of the transmitter/radio control. That said, the radio will function to a distance of up to 1 mile.

With modern 2.4Ghz transmitters and receivers the range will be limited by your sight. If you cannot see it, then you cannot control it. Most RC Helicopter flying is kept to within about a 100m radius.

    Sorry guys,

I’ve just moved the site from one host to another. There are still some database errors I still need to sort out, dates being one of them.

This competition closed in December. I will be posting a new one soon.
