Indoor helicopters tend to be small and often cheaper than there outdoor brethren.
They don’t have to be able to handle the wind so Co-Axial helicopters are popular indoors.
The two things that are great with indoor helicopters are coworkers, playing with these things around the cubicles, and cats.
Cats are scared of these beasts but also like to chase them, and follow them, and occasionally swot them. Check on YouTube for some great videos.
If you’ve never flown a RC helicopter before the S107 from Syma is by far the best place to start.
If you’re looking to advance beyond your standard coaxial alley then the blade 120 SR is a great indoor fixed pitch helicopter. Many helicopter experts will tell you these indoor small micro or mini helicopters aren’t worth the plastic and aluminum they’re made from.
However unless you’re a hard-core 3-D nitro Heli pilot I think that you’ll find that indoor and micro helicopters are hell of a lot of fun.
